Tina Clark
Therapist, LGPC
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland who is committed to working with youths, and adults, who are struggling with the effects of addiction, anxiety, depression, and difficult life adjustments.
My approach to the therapist-client relationship is treating the client with compassion while also separating the individual from their problems. Theoretically, I believe a cognitive behavioral approach (CBT) allows clients to understand how their thoughts and beliefs play the main role in their perspective and how behaviors manifest that can be both positive and negative. Having an unconditional positive regard for the client also helps to build a trusting relationship and is the foundation in providing service.
My goal as a Counselor is to create a safe environment where the client can share their vulnerabilities, feel rejuvenated, and learn to cope with any challenges. I aim to support each client on their journey while equipping them with the necessary tools to create the best version of themselves. Hi, I’m a therapist who understands that life can feel overwhelming, especially when you're constantly questioning yourself, feeling stuck, or carrying the weight of past experiences. As a woman, I know firsthand how complex our journey can be balancing roles, relationships, and expectations while trying to stay true to yourself.
I use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) because it works. It helps us connect the dots between what you think, how you feel, and how you respond to life’s challenges. Together, we’ll uncover the patterns holding you back such as self-doubt, overthinking, or fear of failure and gently work to shift them.
My approach isn’t about judgment or quick fixes. It’s about creating a safe space where you can be real, gain insight, and build tools that actually help you feel more in control, confident, and calm. You don't have to navigate this alone; I'm here to help you reconnect with your strength and move forward with clarity and purpose.
